MISCANTHUS SINENSIS GIGANTEUS
Good to know: This is not an invasive grass however it is a monster! It needs to be planted where it has room to grow and it might be a good idea to plant something in front of it to conceal the bottom 3' as those leaves tend to die out with the progression of the season. The plumes are beautiful cut flowers fresh or dry and the dried stalks are useful for making trellises.
Light requirements: full sun to part shade
Use: back borders of the perennial garden, streamside planting, privacy screen
